The historic Hartsel Ranch is situated in Hartsel, Colorado at the confluence of the Middle Fork and the South Fork of the South Platte River. The Ranch consists of 1/2 mile of the Middle Fork and 3/4 mile of the South Fork. Browns and rainbows are prominent here, with the opportunity for trophy cut-bows in the spring / early summer and trophy browns in the late summer / fall.

Hartsel Ranch Accommodations & Packages
Nestled in the heart of South Park, Hartsel Ranch is by far the best place to stay in the area. Accommodations include the main lodge’s six charming bed and breakfast-style rooms along with 4 newly built cabins.
Fishing Hartsel Ranch requires a Mountain Angler guide, however, private water Rod Fees are waived for Hartsel Ranch overnight guests. Your guide will meet you at the Ranch and bring everything you need for the day.
This location also provides close access to many miles of public Gold Metal water. Explore on your own or check out our 3/4 Day Wade or Full Day Wade where we will take you to prime locations on the upper South Platte River and/or the world famous Dream Stream. Alternatively, try our ever-popular Lake Float to Spinney Mountain Reservoir, which is a short 15 minutes drive from the Ranch.
