Since 1985 The Mountain Angler is Summit Counties oldest and most respected fly fishing guide service. Mountain Angler guides share with their anglers a wealth of knowledge that will help you become a better angler and to learn the many great places to fish in our area. The Mountain Angler has secured the rights to guide on virtually all of the public waters in around the area. Founded by Jackson Streit the Author of "Fly Fishing in Colorado" The Mountain Angler strives to bring "the best days of fishing" it can to it's angling guests. The list of rivers and lakes we are permitted to guide on include the following waters:

Our private ranches vary in price from $35-$100 per day per person extra.

Additionally the Mountain Angler has secured the exclusive guiding rights on the following Private Ranches :

  • Middle Fork Ranch ( Middle Fork of the South Platte River )
  • Willows of the Middle Fork Ranch (Middle Fork of the South Platte River)
  • Holmestead Ranch ( Middle Fork of the South Platte River)
  • The Speer Ranch ( Middle Fork of the South Platte River )
  • Running W Ranch- (Blue River)

The Mountain Angler has also secured the right to Guide on other private waters through the Rocky Mountain Angling Club. Private waters include the Middle Fork of the South Platte, Arkansas, Tarryall and many other waters.
