River Float Trips

The Mountain Angler has put-in and take-out rights on a virtually private section of the Colorado River. On Many days you will not see another person –let alone another angler. This is some of the finest float fishing in Colorado ! We are also permitted to float over 50 miles of the Colorado River.  We offer both daily and overnight floats on this pristine, wild river.  Day trips generally cover 5-8 miles of river -- allowing plenty of time to wade-fish prime runs along the way. The Mountain Angler has private put-in & take-out point a few miles below State Bridge which now allows us to avoid the crowds that are sometimes found on the upper stretches. Travel time to the river is aprox 1 hour 10 minutes. This is a private trip. You will not be added to another trip.

• Gore-Tex waders and premium Sage rods with Ross reels are provided for your pleasure.
• 3 person maximum per guide.
• Colorado fishing license required.
• Reservations only.
• Ages 12 and over.
• Trips average 9 hours and depart at 8:00 a.m. daily.
